Because the conference actually started today, but I decided to be an overachiever
Holycrap has it been a jam packed two days! Wonderful, science-filled, blisteringly sunny, jammed to the brim two days. Below is a post about Day i, my day with the Illuminati, and I’m hoping to get out a post about Day ii–my day of mostly baking in the sun and looking at dirt–a little bit later. My laptop is dying and it’s time to get dressed to go to the actual first day of GSA!
Leila is a geoarchaeology PhD candidate who never expected to find herself in geology or in the Midwest. She holds an MS in geology, and a BA in anthropology. Her primary interests are thinking about past landscapes and the people who lived on them, outreach/informal education, statement jewelry, and perfumes no graduate student should own. Her favorite color is gold glitter and she is often the only woman at an airport bar.
